Advertiser’s Crash Course in Affiliate Marketing

Thousands of businesses – including most of the Internet Retailers’ Top 500 list – have affiliate marketing programs in place. For some, affiliates generate as much as 60% of their revenue, while others struggle to make their affiliate programs work… Whether you are looking for sales, leads, phone calls, or any other kind of performance, affiliate marketing program can be a powerful tool, if managed right.

In this interactive workshop, Geno Prussakov will provide a “true crash course” for developing an affiliate program that works. Geno, who has conducted such workshops for the American Marketing Association in DC, Baltimore, and internationally, will walk you through all the key areas of managing an affiliate marketing program, helping your business make the most of affiliate marketing.

Identifying and Recruiting Targeted Content Partners

All Affiliate Managers are under pressure to reduce dependency on traditional “affiliates” like coupon and cashback sites and drive more incremental sales. There is more to having a successful content affiliate strategy than just being reliant on what your affiliate network brings you. To truly scale you need to be able to identify content partners that have access to, and more importantly trusted relationships with your shoppers and build a process that lets you reach out to them at scale.

In this interactive workshop, Wade Tonkin, Senior Affiliate Manager at Fanatics will share tools and tricks to help you identify the right partners for your brand, and effective outreach strategies to engage and recruit content partners who can drive significant incremental sales.

Strategic Approaches to Affiliate Marketing Risk: a Legal Perspective

Affiliate Marketing is a sales platform with multiple stakeholders. Whether it is the merchant, the affiliate, the consumer or the network, the digital marketing industry is facing an increasingly broad range of challenges from consumers, business partners, and regulators. This workshop discusses case studies relevant to state and federal regulatory risks, consumer-oriented risks, different types of contract risks (network-merchant, network-affiliate, merchant-affiliate, etc.) and specific procedures and strategies to categorize the risk and create processes to address them.
