Welcome to the latest edition of FMTC’s Tech Corner.
FMTC is excited to announce a major full-stack upgrade to the FMTC Portal (which we call A2), bringing it fully in line with our modernized API. This update introduces a cleaner design, improved data synchronization, updated terminology, and a new company-based login system. Together, these changes lay the groundwork for future scalability and continued innovation across the FMTC platform.
Why This Upgrade Matters
This A2 Portal upgrade is a key part of FMTC’s effort to align our tools and data systems. With the latest API upgrade complete, this full-stack refresh ensures the Portal now operates seamlessly alongside it. By unifying the two, FMTC has removed the need to maintain a separate legacy system and created a consistent data experience across all products. The result is improved synchronization between what you see in the Portal and what you access through the API. This means fewer discrepancies, faster updates, and a more reliable environment for everyone.
New Design
The FMTC Portal’s new design focuses on clarity, performance, and scalability.
- Cleaner layout: A more streamlined UI that makes it easier to find what you need and move quickly.
- Built for Growth: As FMTC continues to expand the data available in the Feeds, including new fields like AI-parsed metadata and additional deal types, this redesign ensures the Portal can display and manage it all efficiently.
- More room for data: The updated layout provides more space and flexibility for new data points, making it easier to explore, filter, and work with the information.

Updated Terminology
With more integrations and richer data coming into FMTC, this release also introduces updated terminology to better reflect how that data is structured and represented.
The changes are:
- Master Merchant is now Company
- Merchant is now Program
- Network is now Program Platform
These updates go beyond simple renaming. They align FMTC’s terminology with the underlying data model and the way affiliate programs are organized across platforms. By standardizing these terms across both the Portal and the API, developers can work with a clearer and more accurate understanding of what each data field represents.
New Company-Based Login System
One of the most impactful parts of this upgrade is the new company-based login system.
Previously, the Portal used a user-based model that tied logins directly to individual accounts. That model has now been fully replaced. Going forward:
- Each user will now log in to a company, rather than as a standalone individual.
- It’s now easier to see and manage who’s making changes to the account.
- Agencies can use a single login to access all of their connected accounts, without needing to maintain separate credentials.
When you first sign in to the upgraded Portal, you’ll be prompted to set a new password for your company account. From there, your team can manage users within that company environment, laying the groundwork for better long-term scalability.
Migration Timeline
The new FMTC A2 Portal will fully replace the Legacy A1 Portal by mid-December.
- All user data and account information will remain intact.
- Only the login structure and interface will change.
- Existing users will simply set up their new credentials the first time they log in.
We encourage all users to begin using the new interface ahead of the migration deadline to familiarize themselves with the design and provide feedback. The new Portal experience is live and ready to explore.
We’re excited for you to experience the new FMTC Portal — built for consistency, designed for growth, and ready for the future.
