With Halloween now passed, it is officially the holiday season! I personally don’t like to skip right from Halloween to Christmas and leave out good ole Thanksgiving. I always wait until after Turkey Day to put up holiday decorations and listen to Christmas music, just so I’m not tired of them by Christmas Day. One thing I do not wait for, however, is shopping for gifts. You never know when you’re going to find the perfect gift for family or friends so I start looking early.
I know I’m definitely not alone on this! Whether people are actually buying gifts early or saving ideas or links for products, presents are on everyone’s mind. That being said, my quick tip this week for advertisers and program managers is to get those Gift Guides up and promoted.
The first page I go to when I visit a merchant’s site while Christmas shopping is their Gift Guide. Whether you have one page for all the best gifts or if you separate it out by gender, price, or category, you should always have a Gift Guide during the holiday season.
It’s a quick and easy way for shoppers to narrow down their search and find something perfect for their loved ones. In addition to updating your site with Gift Guides, don’t forget to send them out in newsletters, highlight them in your blogs, and post them on social media for the most exposure.
